Hey! I'm debating if I want to order Kit's Red's Fan Outfit while it's on special. However, I read on here that the little red tie has a habit of bleeding when it gets wet. I was curious if anyone has had problems with that? Or any bleeding at all?

It's really cute, and people on here give such great reviews I thought I would ask for some opinions before ordering.

I just ordered it yesterday, so I can't give a review yet, but I thought it was just adorable. It's also a really good value when you realize how many pieces come with it. I'm a little worried that it's going to be retired as well, and I don't want to regret not buying it later. I read a thread with reviews on it fairly recently here on the board, and all I remember were good things said about it.

I believe it was AGTeacher who said her ran and stained the shirt.

I went ahead and ordered it along with the Molly's camp outfit and since most dark colors do run I'll use Shout Color Catcher soak before putting it on a doll. The thing I like about using Shout Color Catcher is it locks in the color which also prevents fading.

I fill a large bowl of water in the sink, put the S-C-C in the bowl. Move the water around gently, then place the doll chothing in. Every so often I gently move the water around. Maybe 10 minutes of soaking, I then run clean water in the bowl to rinse.

Don't wring out the clothes but here is when one of those AG hangers come in handy I hang the clothes to drip dry.

Since the sale page is going to be updated shortly and who knows what might leave, if you want it order it. Then again maybe it will still be there when the new stuff is placed? Most think these will shoe up tomorrow morning:

Thanks caroloto for the tip on SCC. I will have to invest in some!

I haven't received the outfit yet should be here today!!!

I would "not" put the white or off white items with the dark colors like red-black-navy blue. Keep dark color washing-soaking together, same as washing your own clothes. Since you will be using a Large bowl you could cut the sheet of SCC in 1/2 or even a 1/4 since these sheet are for a regular washing machine load.

Now I do quilt and I'm one of those who don't prewash my fabric, so I mix white on white with dark colors, yes those bleeding colors when washed. When I finish the quilt, I throw it in the washing machine with 2 "Shout Color Catcher" and so far I have never had a problem with colors like red the worst run on my whites/ off whites/lighter colors.
